Oceano Kitchen

The best food in South Florida is coming out of ONE wood fire oven in a tiny building on the corner of Ocean Ave. and Dixie Highway in Lantana. I really could stop there, because there are no words that can truly describe the experience that Chef Jeremy Bearman and his wife Cindy (head pastry Chef/cookie master) have created at Oceano Kitchen. But I’ll try……

Oceano Kitchen is a casual neighborhood restaurant from husband and wife team, Jeremy & Cindy Bearman. Both Jermey and Cindy have worked for some elite restaurants and elite Chef’s throughout their careers, making them well prepared for their own venture! Each morning they create a new dinner menu inspired by what is local, fresh and can be beautifully wood-fired. Around noon, each day, the menu is posted on their website (click here) for all to see (I check every day).

This is definitely my favorite restaurant down here in South Florida! The service and food are the best in town, and certainly that is what I love about the place. But what I love the most, is that both Chef Jeremy and his wife Cindy GO FOR IT every single day at Oceano Kitchen! They always dreamed of running their own place together, they went for it and made it happen (after years and years of coming up in some of the countries best kitchens)! They are SUPER-OBSESSIVE-CRAZY creative about how they make, create and plate their dishes. People who GO FOR IT and pull it off deserve all the glory and accolades (Chef was just voted best chef in South Florida)!

Because exceptional food begins with great ingredients, the culinary team is very selective about the sourcing of their products. They only work with a handful of local farmers, fisherman and purveyors that care as much about the quality as they do!

Some of their local food partners are:

  • Green Cay Farm
  • Swank Farm
  • Circle C Ranch
  • Bedners
  • Goin’ Off
  • Ms V’s Organics
  • Fancy Chicken Farm
  • Kai Kai
  • Pontano Farms
  • Dartagnan
  • Farmhouse Tomatoes
  • Kissimmee River Mushrooms
  • Gullo Seafood
  • Cod and Capers

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE GOING:

  1. NO RESERVATIONS except for parties of 6+ with 24 hour notice and must be confirmed
  2. Tuesday – Saturday: Open 5:00pm until…. Closed on Sunday & Monday.
  3. CASH ONLY! (ATM can be found inside)
  4. No substitutions

Here are some of my favorite dishes from my many visits to Oceano Kitchen (keep in mind the menu changes daily, so you may or may not ever see these plates of food again).
