On May 22nd, Devour Brewery in Boynton Beach held their very first beer dinner with Chef Dan Ramos of Red Splendor. Red Splendor is a local team of Chef’s that do pop-ups all over Palm Beach County, specifically at breweries and green markets. In addition to making some of the best damn food I have ever tasted, Red Splendor is also known for their bone broth and sausages. You can purchase the broth and sausages whenever they are setup at a farmers market or find it in one of the local restaurants. Chef Dan works with all the great Chef’s in town!
From the Red Splendor website: “AT RED SPLENDOR WE SOURCE FROM SUSTAINABLE FARMERS WITH A PASSION AND COMMITMENT TO RAISE HAPPY, HEALTHY ANIMALS THAT THRIVE IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT. OUR PIGS ARE PASTURE RAISED AND EAT 100% ORGANIC FEED WITHOUT PESTICIDES AND GMO’S. THE COWS GRAZE ON GRASS ALL DAY AND THE CHICKENS FOLLOW CLOSE BEHIND. THE FARMERS NEVER USE ANTIBIOTICS AND AT RED SPLENDOR, OUR PRODUCTS ARE FREE OF NITRATES AND PRESERVATIVES. WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL FARMERS AND WE PROMISE TO BRING YOU THE MOST NUTRITIOUS AND DELICIOUS BONE BROTH AND SAUSAGE.”
This was Devour Brewery and Red Splendor’s first foodie adventure together and it went off without a hitch! Chef Dan is a pro at putting these type of dinners together, he wrote up and prepared a devious menu. The food was excellent (you’ll see soon) but the beer deserves just as much attention! The event was organized and hosted by Matt Smith who is the Operations Manager at Devour. Both Matt and Brewmaster/Owner, Chip Breighner, came up with all of the beer pairings. They killed it! Every course was perfectly paired and balanced with one of Devour’s flagship brews.
Do not miss the next dinner at Devour Brewing and Red Splendor on June 26th! The menu wont be available till week of due to the fact it’s a local seafood showcase and they wont know what fish they have till that week! Tickets will be going on sale first week of June. More details to come!
